Synesthesia

I’m reading a book on synesthesia called “The frog that croaked blue” and I’ve learned some interesting things.

The reason I asked my followers what color they associate the letter A with is because 43 percent of people with letter-color synethesia say that they associate it with red. 40 Percent of people without synethesia also say they associate red with the letter A. This implies that non synethesitic people have the same connecting pathways but they arn’t strong enough to make a conscious association.
When asked to name colors, the most common order in which the colors come to mind is : yellow , blue , green, red, black, white, purple, orange, brown, pink and gray.
In 1969 two linguists found out that depending on how many names for colors you have in a language , colors start to appear in a particular order. For a language with only two words for colors, it is usually black and white. When you add a third color it usually is red. The list below is the full pattern that was found.

I wonder if Romney would of been able to win the debate if someone time traveled back to Monday and handed him a video of Tuesday’s debate….

On a related note , if we could run an arbitrarily large amount of simulations of the debate where Romney just said random strings of words , I wonder what some of his winning debates would look like.
